Hi from the Welsh Canoe and Kayak Show 2009,

We just wanted to update you on how things are progressing and give you a flavour of how excited we are here at Up and Under Watersports and the Cardiff Marine Village as the 25th of April draws closer.

We also wanted to add a big thank you to everyone that has put up our posters, forwarded on our emails, added web links and banners etc. to the show, thank you all very much. We hope that we can reward you with a great day at the show.

The sun is really starting to kick off the spring/summer and with it everyone is beginning to talk about Easter, May Bank Holidays, summer holidays and getting out on the water so what better way to start the season than with a day trying out all the brand new gear thats coming out for the season in the paddling world. Since we last contacted you a number of manufacturers have stated their aim of launching new product at the show and not only that but they hope to have plenty of stock for people to try them out on the day and even purchase one if they turn out to really float your boat.
Confirmed new boat launches come from; Dagger in the form of their new version of the revoltuionary playboat the Kingpin and Wavesport with their intermediate level D 65 and 75 (an update of the ultra-classic diesel). Both of these models will be manufactured in the U.K. another great step forward for the industry. We hope to have confirmation in the next day or two from Pyranha and Feelfree regarding new model launches as well as many other none boat product launches. An early showing of the brand new range of Wilderness Systems Tarpons is guaranteed to get lots of people out on the water testing them ready for a summer along the coast.

The on site store of Up and Under Watersports has been busy securing stock of new models and existing favourites so that if you do make a decision on the day you can walk/drive away with your new boat there and then.

We have added more exhibitors since our last email to the extent that we will have a greater variety of stands all with a paddlesports theme (including the new sport of Stand Up Paddle Boarding) for you to browse through as well as refreshments including a pork carvery.

The pontoon is now in place for the show so that everyone can get easy access to the water for demoing kit. This pontoon will be a permanant fixture at the Cardiff Marine Village Wharf enabling Up and Under Watersports to provide boat testing throughout the year to their customers. The Welsh Canoe and Kayak Show 2009 will see the grand opening of the pontoon for use by paddlers.

Thank you to everyone that has already registered online or have downloaded our registration form. Remember that registering online will fast-track you through the initial part of arrival on the day and therefore get you to the boats quicker.

Don't forget that entry is free for everyone to the Welsh Canoe and Kayak Show 2009 and that everyone that registers will be able to try out the boats if they wish.

We hope to see you at the Welsh Canoe and Kayak Show on the 25th of April 2009.
